On saying this he laughed deeply and heartily; adding with a large hand on my shoulder: "When we reach the grey shores of my home. You shall be cold no more. For women of the North find no bed warmer than those whose mouths bring tales of adventure.”A man one deck called out, that this was why the King bought, myself, The Scribe, so that I could recant many tales of their adventures. And this on deck turned into the greatest humour, for others called out then that the King always thought ahead. And most vulgar insults and theatre was enacted behind me with many men laughing and acting out what they had in store for the North women.
